Import maps are an effective tool for permissions management in a scalable application. Administrators and developers will find it much easier to manage permissions. However, using import maps is not without its limitations.

Import maps are built into HTML documents via the script type="importmap" tag. This tag should be put before any script type="moduletag" in a document. This ensures that the import map is parsed prior to the module resolution process. Presently, only one map can be loaded per document. However, the future plans call for removing this limitation.

Interfaces should use SafeObject and SafeClass implementations

Interfaces used for Bedford module programming should utilize SafeObject or SafeClass implementation. While this may be confusing, the idea is to provide security protection. In particular, interfaces should employ a safety interface to avoid capability or information leakage.
